Rationale[edit]

I have moved American music to Music of the Americas, and redirected American music to Music of the United States. An obviously overwhelming majority of articles linking to American music were referring to the latter. At Music of the United States, I have added a hat-note to point to a disambiguation page for American music. Previously, when Music of the Americas was located at American music, it didn't even have a hat-note. --Bxj (talk) 12:56, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ten years later, a revisit. Pointing back to the disambig. Someone searching for a title to redirect to would not expect a different landing page based on a single change in capitalisation. Good links need to and must get the reader to where they want to get to. The diambig is the right landing page. Request to refer to revert rule for further changes. 2401:7400:6009:8A39:1:1:C1F1:1BD8 (talk) 12:45, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
