Explanation of edit[edit]

This was a COATRACK article with much self-promotion, and it went off on a long tangent into yet another "history of the animal rights movement in the USA".

  • Removed unverifiable Hall of Fame winners. Wayback stopped copying that page in 2019, which covered up through 2016. The current version of the website doesn't even mention the words "hall of fame", which leads me to think they stopped doing the program (or at least calling it "Hall of Fame").
  • Removed excess information about each winner, since 90% of them have their own wiki article anyway, and the source citation is self-published (it is published on the website of the subject of the article, as well as bios typically are written by the individual himself/herself).
  • Several of the citations didn't verify the content, and much of the content had no citations (and I couldn't find any of the citations supporting that content). OR? Or just content from some other missing/uncited source? I don't know. But it turns out, the basic citations which cover this topic are the two books (Finsen and Phelps) which are available to read online on Open Library through their ISBN links (which had been omitted).

I cleaned up the article, and everything is now cited. Feel free to expand on it as long as you have a reliable source citation that verifies. Platonk (talk) 03:08, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
