The Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) on June 19, 2008 resolved to proceed with the election protest of Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III: "Indeed, there is reasonable ground to believe that the final outcome of the case could affect the officially proclaimed results of the 12th senatorial position in the 14 May 2007 national elections, hence, the election protest case deserves further proceedings by the tribunal."abs-cbnnews.com, Tribunal finds basis to proceed with Koko 2007 elections protest--Florentino floro (talk) 10:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Koko PimentalKoko Pimentel – The title of the article has been misspelled "Pimental" instead of "Pimentel". It was either deliberate vandalism or a typographical error. I'm alarmed that the previous move was done 27 March 2018‎ yet has been apparently unnoticed. Jollibinay (talk) 00:56, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE DELETE THESE WRONGFUL NARRATIVE BELOW BECAUSE IT SENATOR KOKO PIMENTEL DID NOT INTERACT WITH THE RESOURCE PERSON DURING THE SENATE HEARING ON MARCH 5. HE WAS NOT PRESENT DURING THE HEARING. HE WAS NOT ALSO IDENTIFIED AS A PERSON OR PATIENT UNDER MONITORING AS NO DOCTOR OR HEALTHWORKER HAS DECLARED HIM AS ONE. ACCORDING TO HIM, HE NEVER IDENTIFIED AND CONSIDERED HIMSELF AS ONE. AT THE SAME TIME, ACCORDING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ITS GUIDELINES, ONLY A DOCTOR OR HEALTHWORKER COULD DECLARE A PERSON AS A PERSON UNDER MONITORING OR INVESTIGATION:Attycao (talk) 13:32, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[1][reply]

Pimentel had interacted with a resource person during a Senate session last March 5 who tested positive for the virus, which prompted other senators to also undergo testing and self-quarantine; Zubiri and Sonny Angara also tested positive.[36] At the time Pimentel confirmed his diagnosis, he had visited the Makati Medical Center to accompany his wife who was in labor. The Makati Medical Center issued a press release criticizing Pimentel for violating the hospital's home quarantine protocol, which required "patients under monitoring" (the official designation by the Philippine Department of Health) to self-isolate in order to avoid exposing health professionals and other patients to possible infection.[37] Attycao (talk) 13:32, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Before starting, I'd like to remind you to please stay WP:POLITE when making requests. Even though you may be distraught, please observe proper capitalization as much as possible.
Now with that out of the way, I wanted to say that I have reworded the paragraph and added extra citations to make it correct. The entire paragraph did not warrant deletion, since it had adequate sources. I simply reworded it and added more sources to make it much more factual.
I edited the paragraph such that there is a clearer timeline of events, and revised the part stating that Pimentel had been in the session on March 5, since I could not find any source that backed that claim up. As for the comment about being a PUM or a PUI, I kept that in (although added citations) since Pimentel had fit the classification tool provided by DOH. Additionally, Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, a part of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), stated that a requirement of taking the COVID-19 test was to be a PUI, which meant that prior to testing, Pimentel had already been classified as a person under investigation. Even if he were not publicly classified as a PUM or a PUI by himself or a doctor, we can assume that the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine had already classified him as one, otherwise he would have never been allowed to take the test.
Reworded. Thanks for bringing the error to light, and welcome to Wikipedia! Chlod (say hi!) 14:27, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
