[edit]Why are some 508 exchanges listed for towns in 617-land (e.g. 213 for Boston, 203 for Cambridge)? --Tckma 02:39, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Is the 379 exchange really for Warren MA? I know there are 508-379 numbers in Warren RI and neighboring Swansea MA, and that's quite a distance from Warren MA. I don't remember the explanation for why a Rhode Island communtity has a Mass area code, instead of 401. Josh 03:52, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- Someone went through the original page and put everything into tables, which made the page look better. However, after the tables were added, there were a number of errors. (Not necessarily by the person who added tables. The errors simply appeared after the tables.) There are and have been links to a nonexistant "Woonsocket, Massachusetts" and the like. At some point, someone will just have to take a directory and weed out what doesn't belong. Sahasrahla 10:10, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
I live in New Braintree, which isn't on this list, and I have a 508 phone number Jinxlerai 02:29, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
I made the following changes from above: Woonsocket (RI) to Blackstone; Warren (RI) to North Swansea; exchanges 209 & 224 from Plymouth to Manomet. As far as New Braintree is concerned, most of the town is in area code 508 and is served by the North Brookfield exchange. That exchange serves five towns in all. The portion of New Braintree in area code 413 is served by the Gilbertville exchange. Ed 01:57, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't know where you get your dates from, but the 508 area code existed long before 1988. I challenge you to provide an authoritative citation to the claimed date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.189.250.109 (talk) 15:23, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
