Random prefix list[edit]

I have previously removed the random list of prefixes that someone has again added. There are links to the complete, properly formatted, official, and up to date list at the bottom of the article, which makes a lot more sense. I don't understand why anyone would dump a random list of numbers into the article. I will remove it again. Apparently it is some sort of automated script as that IP address has done it to several other area code articles.Rewand 05:26, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting Into Two Pages: Area code 604 and Area code 778[edit]

I think that the 604 and 778 area codes should be split into two separate articles, now that the concentrated overlay of area code 778 has been stretched from just the Lower Mainland to province-wide. If any two BC area codes should be combined, it should be Area code 778 and Area code 236, since they are both going to be province-wide overlays when 778 is exhausted. Currently, 604 is Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast only, 250 is the rest of the province, and 778 is province-wide; because 604 and 250 are mutually exclusive, but 778 overlays both area codes, each area code has its own notability.
