It should also be mentioned that Herzog was an active participant in Eugene McCarthy's 1968 presidential campaign(managing the winning McCarthy primary effort in Oregon, where McCarthy, in defeating Robert Kennedy, ended the Kennedy family's 22 year electoral winning streak). confusion between Arthur Herzog III and his father Arthur Herzog, Jr.[edit]

If you look at the full writing credits for "Mary Had a Little" on the internet movie database (imdb.com) you can see that Arthur Herzog, Jr. is credited with writing the play.
