Administrator's note about previous AfD

I am the administrator who deleted the article in April 2020 per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan. I later restored it per request and draftified it; this is that draft. I have compared the AfD'ed version (April 2020) with the current version (January 2021) and I can confirm that they are not identical; quite a bit of information has been added since then. Therefore, IMO this version should not be speedy deleted per G4. However, it should not be moved to mainspace until it has been approved through the Article Creation process. If it is moved to article space, it could still be removed via a new AfD.

At my talk page the current draft, specifically the references, was evaluated by Hindi and Tamil speakers in mid December.[1] Their opinion was that the current draft does not pass WP:GNG and is marginal with regard to WP:NACTOR.

In December 2020 an article about this person was created three times in rapid succession by another user, User:Giriprasad Damodar 02, and was speedy deleted three times per G4. Those articles were virtually identical to this current draft. I would not have speedied them per G4 since this version has been added to since the AfD, but it's possible that other administrators did not consider the additions to be significant. -- MelanieN (talk) 20:00, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

He appeared in television serial called OFFICE for a short period of time, played the role of Karthick’s team member, his character name in that is Ashwin, it can be added on television category Chandrun12 (talk) 12:23, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Moved to mainspace

I have moved the article to mainspace; it is substantially expanded and improved compared to the version I deleted at AfD last year.

The article needs to have categories added. Also, where he is mentioned in other articles, they should be linked to this one by putting [[ ]] around his name.

Also, if you have any information about his actual life or biography - when or where he was born, where he was educated, anything like that - it should be added to the article. But only if you have a reliable (published) source for it. You can't use IMDb or Facebook, they are not considered reliable sources.

It's a restricted site so I can't look at it, but it is the school he went to so I think it should be acceptable as a reference.

Some other areas you might look at: there are additional categories that would fit him at Category:People from Tamil Nadu, and you might find articles you can add his name to at Category:Lists of people from Tamil Nadu. -- MelanieN (talk) 19:16, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
