Original research?[edit]

"Though it is not widely accepted, a small group of historians believe that Aude had a very short mistress named Ludwig before Roland's death. Although this is an uncertain theory, it is known that Aude and Roland had a servant named Ludwig and that Aude was particularly close with him. Although it is a stretch, it was uncommon at the time for masters to be so close to their servants."

Is there any actual evidence to support this claim? I've searched everywhere for any information relating to this, but couldn't find anything even remotely close. With the lack of citations, I am starting to suspect this is a bad case of original research more than anything. Count Roland (talk) 09:25, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's not in the French page and nothing is coming up. It's so awkwardly phrased, I wonder if the source isn't English-? Perhaps it's from German or Spanish sources? I find it difficult to believe that she and Roland would have shared a servant before combining households, and didn't he perish before they were wed..? I wish the editor had listed a source.
