Supporters' Group Portion[edit]

Hello Walter Görlitz, I wanted to open up a discussion regarding documentation for making changes to the Supporters' Section of the wiki and what constitutes a qualified source. In a previous revert you mentioned that the club hasn't announced respective groups, but I can't find any sources for the club announcing any group to date. I know there are multiple groups operating, but other than their own media and press releases, there aren't any official notices by the club. Thank you for your efforts to keep high quality sources.

A statement by a third-party source, such as a media outlet or the club itself. Anything else hinges of WP:NOTADVERTIZING. In other words, anyone can crate a blog and make "press release" to announce a new supporter's group. Unless it gets press or recognition from the team, it's moot. For instance, check out the sourcing at Vancouver Whitecaps FC#Supporters where Zac Ratcliffe. "Meet the three main supporters groups of Vancouver Whitecaps FC | Vancouver Whitecaps FC". Whitecapsfc.com. Retrieved October 20, 2012. is used to support the "three largest", and that's eight years old, but they're still present at the stadium. There are a total of 27 references in the section for the eight groups, included a defunct group. None are press releases from a group. None are their own websites.
