No Idea[edit]

"... and came up with ideas while talking with the London choir-master of the orchestra that was helping him." I have no real idea what this means. There is no such thing as a choir-master of an orchestra. Is it the choir-master of the choir which usually works with that particular orchestra? Also, I don't think Goldsmith was composing the MAIN TITLE of the picture just on the fly while recording the soundtrack. Really, the MAIN TITLE? He would have written this quite some time before the recording session. Maybe that's not what is being implied, though. Essentially, the story of the composition of this piece has apparently been misunderstood and is distorted. A little research and a rewrite is needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gingermint (talkcontribs) 22:00, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Da Vinci Code?[edit]

The song has been described as "hair-raising"[4] although one journalist reviewing the soundtrack of the Da Vinci code considered "Ave Satani" to be "nonsense" in comparison to that more restrained soundtrack.[5]

I fail to see exactly how the Da Vinci Code soundtrack could be considered a pertinent point of comparison, in any respect. Moreover, the quote's purpose seems itself ambiguous as presented... From what I gather, Ave Satani isn't part of that soundtrack and while some tracks may stylistically borrow from the same influences as Ave Satani (though I have no reason to believe so at this time), the second part of that sentence (after reference 4) should be removed as it brings nothing of note to the article and implies an unsubstantiated link between the two works. --69.70.144.146 (talk) 18:50, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, can you edit it? Some of the style in this article and related articles (like those that link to this one) could be improved, also - to bring it more in line with an objective encyclopedia article. For example, you may be interested to see how "Ave Satani" is discussed in the Hail Satan article.Jimhoward72 (talk) 09:46, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
