Common types of benches do not include....[edit]

A spanking bench?! Is this such a common type of bench that it warrants a picture on the page? It's encyclopedically valid, but I'd challenge its prominence here. Eeblet (talk) 04:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional external links[edit]

I just noticed that the three links seem promotional and barely relevant: the first has nothing to do with benches, the second seems to be a photographer's self-promotion, and the third seems to be a bench manufacturer's self-promotion. I've removed the external link section for now, but if anyone has links to general information about the construction or history of benches, that would be super. Inappropriate caption[edit]

Merge with Social Sofa[edit]

I propose to merge Social Sofa into this article. This just is a neologism for a park bench. Park benches already come in all kinds of shapes and styles, and this is just another design.
