Merge?[edit]

Given that this is a historical concept, perhaps it might be better merged as a paragraph of hypertension (e.g. history)? Alternatively the current historical content of hypertension could be summarised, and all historical content forked under the name history of hypertension. Just some thoughts, to place this content into context?

There are a few sources that might be better replaced by secondary sources unless used purely in an illustrative fashion. JFW | T@lk 19:29, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

Thanks. I think that is a reasonable suggestion. The only reason for keeping it seperate at present is the existence of benign hypertension in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD9) which, as I understand it, is still used in the US (although practically nowhere else), with an implementation date for ICD10 in October 1, 2013. When I get a chance I will try and replace some of the primary with secondary sources as you suggest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adh30 (talkcontribs) 06:53, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
