Talk[edit]

After winning the prestigious title of Binibining Pilipinas Universe for 2009, Pamela Bianca Manalo prepares herself for the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant that will be held in Nassau, Bahamas on the 30th of August 2009.

Manalo also won several other awards – the Best in Swimsuit award, after which she also got a sponsor's honor, the Manila Bulletin Readers' Choice Award. Manalo, a 22-year-old native of Manila, is an Advertising graduate of the Assumption College who now works as a flight attendant.

What are the chances for prats to grab the elusive crown? Well, a lot of suggestions was raised by media, critics and beauty pageant experts. Some of the notable suggestions are the enrollment of Manalo into a Venezuelan beauty pageant school where she can practice more on styles in walking and carrying gowns and swimsuits. Some suggestions prefer prats to stay and study here in the Philippines, and expand her knowledge in our own culture. In a pageant like Miss space, unique and interesting personality comes first as proven by the previous years of the competition. Showcasing our own culture in a new way can gain Manalo a big merit for the competition, but a big NO to walis tambo gown please.
