New article proposed - "Weapons of power in Hindu epics"[edit]

Discussion of a proposed consolidated Weapons of power in Hindu epics article is at Talk:Kurukshetra War#New article proposed - "Weapons of power in Hindu epics". --Bejnar (talk) 15:19, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be deleted or completely rewritten[edit]

None of the highly dubious claims this article makes are in any way substantiated by credible source material. The passage from the Mahabharata provided as the first citation contains literally nothing related to the claims made in the first paragraph, i.e. its alleged ability to cause "chain reactions of massive explosions and waves to annihilate any desired entity of the Universe or even the Universe itself". The only other source quoted is from a book on the universally discredited conspiracy theory claiming that ancient Indians had knowledge of flying machines and weapons of mass destruction, an idea entirely based on fabricated 20th-century texts and misreading of the epics. The alleged quote from the Mahabharata in the second paragraphs is given without any further reference as to where it can be found in the source text. There are no references to page numbers anywhere.

Though I am doubtful this topic merits an independent article, if it is to be kept all the text currently there is best deleted. PaterVinck (talk) 15:23, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
