I've put some basics here, but I'm a little unsure on the native range. The USDA GRIN Taxonomy for Plants seems to say that it's just Madagascar. Other sources suggest a very wide range, but this may just be where it is naturalized. Anyone know more? Rupert Clayton 18:07, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to fix it, but the second picture is not Kalanchoe ZDS —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.140.66.154 (talk) 18:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is a Kalanchoe, Bryophyllum is just a synonym.Tsinitoboy (talk) 07:32, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Air Plant" is confusing[edit]

"Air plant" is also used very commonly (perhaps more commonly) to refer to small, densely scaly members of Tillandsia such as T. ionantha. I have never heard of this name being used for K. pinnata. I think this name should be mentioned along with the other common names, and then the botanical name should be used to avoid confusion. --♦♦♦Vlmastra♦♦♦ (talk) 17:48, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading picture[edit]

The flower picture is misleading because the leaves pictured are not from K. pinnata. A better picture would be this one. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Kalanchoe_pinnata#mediaviewer/File:Starr_070308-5336_Kalanchoe_pinnata.jpg

That seems like a good suggestion. I made the change. Rupert Clayton (talk) 04:46, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Botanical name needs to be updated[edit]

The botanical name for this plant is Kalanchoe pinnata. Bryophyllum pinnatum is the synonyms to the Kalanchoe pinnata. Another synonym for this plant is Cotyledon pinnata.

Somebody claims that this plant could be fatal to human beings[edit]

In traditional medicine, it is recommended to eat the leaves of this plant for 7 days or so, to cure kidney stones. But in this article someone is claiming that it could be fatal to eat the leaves. Either provide a citation or kindly revert this false claim. அண்ணாமலை குருசாமி (talk) 05:28, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
