United Kingdom or England & Wales?[edit]

Although the article is titled "Building regulations in the United Kingdom" all of the article - with the exception perhaps of the introduction - is specific to the Building Regulations of England & Wales. This could be resolved in several ways. Certainly the bulk of the current article should become "Building regulations in England & Wales" but I think there is still a need for a page "Building regulations in the United Kingdom" which could use certain elements of the existing article.School of Stone (talk) 09:11, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is worse, as since 2011 Wales have been able to make their own regulations so now there are a number of differences between England and Wales. I think we need to look at whether to split the page up further and track each nation separately. Nexus 314 (talk) 13:04, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Part B Fire safety misleading[edit]

The section on Fire safety says "This requires the designer and/or constructor to give the fire safety information (For a description of the information required - See Appendix G of AD B) to the Responsible Person, upon completion".

But Part B is in two volumes and there is no appendix G in volume 1. It only appears in volume 2. That is, the stated requirement is only applicable to buildings other than dwelling houses.

Since many more readers are likely to be interested in their houses, it is important that the distinction is described. Indeed, the article should make it abundantly clear that there are multiple places in the regulations that only apply to certain types of building and that there are consequently multiple versions (or volumes) of many of the approved documents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.111.85.79 (talk) 14:26, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Article is about Approved Documents, rather than Building Regulations[edit]

There is a difference between the Building Regulations themselves, and the Approved Documents which provide the technical requirements to meet them, which make up Schedule 1: Requirements. I don't know enough about this to confidently edit this article, but I do know that the article seems to conflate the two, and this leads to confusion. The regulations themselves can be found at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2010/2214/contents/made. --Aristocrates (talk) 08:33, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Manifestation refers to this page[edit]

The dab page Manifestation contains the following entry:

However, nowhere in the linked section, or elsewhere in the article, is there a mention of "Glaze manifestation". Maybe there used to be, but not anymore.

PS: my name is a coincidence.
