Sources[edit]

The article cites two sources, both of which are easily available, but neither of which supports the information in the article. Cicero's speech For Publius Quinctius, twice mentions "Burrienus the praetor", but gives no first name. We can infer the date from Cicero. On the other hand, unless my searching skills have become totally inadequate, the Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology, in all three volumes, and its derivatives, make no mention at all. Can anyone pin this down? Emeraude (talk) 17:30, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update: Just found it in Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology - the search tool did not take account of the way in which the entry was listed (C.BURRI'ENUS). However, it says simply praetor urbanus about B.C. 82, citing Cicero, and give no indication of a first name Gaius. So, still something of an enigma, but at least someone can complete the citation template in the article to remove the "article name needed" red text! Emeraude (talk) 17:44, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
