Untitled[edit]

Does anyone have any contributions or comments to make on my page? Is everything correct?...or does anyone have any more questions about the AB 540 bill?

Referencing the eligibility requirements to a universities website might be useful. It would give credibility. Also I believe the bill has been updated so that might be useful to look into changing. Lastly, linking the bill to similar bills other states have proposed would be useful. Pedrogaytan12 (talk) 19:58, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

adding more references and making things clear[edit]

the beginning paragraphs have some data that i feel should have a source like when you state that some Californians are worried about raising education. Also in the tuition section it was unclear what was instate tuition and out of state tuition.Josep345 (talk) 02:57, 7 April 2017 (UTC) Jose Puga Josep345 (talk) 02:57, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There should be more information on what the affidavit is. Shellym00 (talk) 18:49, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Needs updates[edit]

The article seems out of date. There have been changes in the eligibility criteria which need to be updated. Additionally, the cost of attendance examples are out of date.

This article could be improved by updating eligibility information with original sources, other states have taken similar approaches, but are out of date. Lastly, the language seems to be vague, it needs to be fact-based without making judgement assumptions. The author assumes the bill enables undocumented students to "easily" attain a college degree at California's public colleges.Lalin Mendez (talk) 23:08, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Entire article edits[edit]

The article was composed of much outdated information. The Website to reach the page was updated as link was not working. Some sources were unverifiable and thus re-found and updated (Martinez-Calderon). A new proposed structure is suggested for the article - composed of (1) Eligibility Requirements (2) Tuition Impact (3) Undocumented History in Education (4)States with Similar Legislature.

Additionally, some vague language was removed for accuracy. The article never mentioned U.S. citizens are eligible to apply - it is not an exclusive Undocumented program. Some c/e edits and language flow also edited.
