Merger proposal[edit]

I am proposing a merger of Mid-centralized vowel with this article, since the other seems to be a particular example of centralization, and both articles are quite small. FilipeS 14:12, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They're given separate IPA symbols, though I suppose that doesn't really matter. kwami 06:20, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, the two processes are denoted by different diacritics. I only noticed now. Yet the descriptions make them sound like the same thing. The articles should be rewritten to make the difference between the two clearer. FilipeS 18:17, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wait a minute, I've reread the entries and I think I've got it now. I'm withdrawing the merger proposal. FilipeS 19:45, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and merged anyway. They are similar, and are best understood when contrasted, I think. People shouldn't have to read them three times as you had to. kwami (talk) 10:53, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
