[edit]I would just like to point out that "chiasm" or "chiasmatics" are also terms employed in literary theory and analysis, describing the juxtaposition of adjective and noun in two lines ("... while the Wonderful motionlessly / while the Motionless wonderfully..."). However, I do not know if there is another term in English that is used instead, and thus, I will not add it to this page. Best regards, 130.225.244.206 (talk) 11:16, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Chiasma is a literary term, derived from Greek, which indicates a "crossing" of meaning or intent in a particular phrase. Example: "The odds are good, but the goods are odd." |
