Dubbed Dialogue[edit]

I saw this film at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC and the dubbing worked beautifully. You can certainly hear why Fellini preferred to dub his dialogue. This worked particularly well with Wallace Beery's resonant voice. Reminds me of the effect engendered by Gore Vidal's voice in Fellini's Roma half a century later.
