Indeed, it's now in Cumbria (north of Lancashire). Birmingham is 160 miles away - google map Hakluyt bean 23:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I've edited the article except category:people from Birmingham - presumably she grew up there. However, she doesn't seem to have been born anywhere near. Funny how these misunderstandings come about :) Hakluyt bean 00:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

If you read more carefully, it says she was born "in" Bouth and "near" Greenodd. Sitting here in Canada, a cursory glance at Google Maps shows that Bouth is indeed about 3 miles from Greenodd. phreakydancin (talk) 04:14, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

So-called "blues" scene? Explaining an edit.

I changed this to simply "blues scene." The "so-called" is snide bullshit and extremely PoV. No one in the Sixties, White, Black, U.S. or English, invented blues. The music existed and anyone had a right to play it. To claim that Mayall or Green, etc are "so-called" blues musicians is ridiculous. They weren't Blacks in the Delta in 1924, so? McVie vs Perfect

This article refers to her as "McVie" throughout, including prior to her 1970 marriage to John McVie. Would it not be preferable to refer to her as "Perfect" in the Early Life and Early Music sections? phreakydancin (talk) 04:06, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

I've just replaced most of the "McVie"s by "Christine" in the biographical sections. I've applied similar changes in other articles on women. The rationale is the same as yours, and in addition, in this case, as concerns the narration of her life after her marriage with John McVie, things can get a little confusing between the two "McVie"s. Referring to her as "McVie" prior to marriage is incorrect. If using the last name, it should be "Perfect". Better would be using her given name throughout. It does not read well, at all. Al Legato (talk) 23:00, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

I'm sorry of I cannot explain myself. What I mean is that "McVie was married to bass guitarist John McVie in 1968 with Peter Green" is a bit strange to me, it looks as if Christine had two husbands at the same time... The second US single release from the album, McVie's "Skies the Limit" did not make the top 100, but did chart the A/C at number 10.

Date of birth

FreeBMD has no birth records for a Perfect, mother's name Reece, for 1944. It does, however have this one, for Anne C Perfect, registered in 3rd quarter 1943, at Ulverston. So I would suggest the correct year is probably 1943, not 1944. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:49, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

But with regard to the two existing source used in the lead, FreeBMD is not regarded as an WP:RS (I think because [[WP:PRIMARY) but not entirely sure why) and the url for its index entries are prone to linkrot.
