Wikify[edit]

Not entirely sure what needs to be "wikified"... I added headings. Is that what was required? - Davis21Wylie 03:15, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks okay to me. I'll remove the wfy tag. -- Win777 03:32, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Original Research[edit]

The last paragraph, describing how Eddie Murray (and a few other players) "disprove" the hypothesis that clutch hitters don't exist smacks of original research. It's not a particularly compelling argument (at least one far better study of clutch hitting has been done), but if it's going to be included, it should be sourced to someone other than an armchair-Bill-James wikipedia editor. If it can't be, it doesn't belong in the article. I'd love to pick it apart myself, but that would be original research too. --Kajerm 01:41, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not all are homeruns[edit]

I've added Vic Davalillo's drag bunt with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the 9th ining of Game 3 of the 1977 National League Championship Series to show that not all clutch hits are homeruns.Orsoni (talk) 13:57, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this article exist?[edit]

Clutch hitter is not a notable baseball position. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.251.47.180 (talk) 22:33, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
