Untitled[edit]

The first section of this article seems OK, but the section titled "Artificial Intelligence implications" seems seriously flawed. At the least it needs sources to back up "Many fiction and non-fiction authors have speculated..." Who, in which books? Additionally the statement "When computers gained the ability to use control cards, they acquired a necessary tool for being programmed." is not encyclopedic. There were few, if any, punch card machines that "gained the ability to use control cards" (what does that even mean) and that was certainly not a necessary tool for being programmed; I assume the editor who wrote this meant to say something different here?

So, could someone provide sources? If not, I think this section needs to be pulled out completely. Gwernol 02:08, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
