This article is about a jargonistic term that basically refers to one method to achieve customer satisfaction. It is based on a single blog published four years ago, and does not appear to serve any purpose other than a coat rack to hang spam and opinion on. In the absence of dissenting opinion, I have redirected this article to customer satisfaction. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:18, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not believe you are right. The term Customer Centricity is widely used in business, and it is often misunderstood or used wrongly. I definitively think it needs a consolidation of the definitions and concepts that exist. But you are right with 2 things: There is no common definition and extensive research on the term, but there is research (http://scholar.google.ch/scholar?q=customer+centricity+research&hl=de&as_sdt=0&as_vis=1&oi=scholart&sa=X&ei=1vb_T5qiD8OJ4gTH5eCkCA&ved=0CEoQgQMwAA). And you are right, it is a related concept to "customer satisfaction". But it is not a method about achieving customer satisfaction, rather customer satisfaction is one indicator for customer centricity (though I would argue that you could have high customer satisfaction without being customer centric). It is more a method on generally competing in demand-driven markets (an economics expression). Basically it is a variation of "customer orientation" in marketing, though marketing needs to be seen here in the broadest possible definition. In this section of marketing, the phrase is actually used "customer-centric alternative of the 4Ps". But when looking at the content within the marketing article, it does not do the customer-centric approach justice. I see this extended customer-centric approach basically as a reaction to the higher maturity of demand-driven markets that requires companies to more and more focus on the customer dimension to be successful over time. This is why I believe we need a separate extended article on it. Though it probably is hard work to create the page. sebastian.schnur

This article was recently recreated. I agree with User:WikiDan61 this is an article that either should have stayed a redirect, or it should be deleted. No need to have an article on it, especially in its current form. VVikingTalkEdits 12:48, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
