odd that all the other warhammer "nationalities" have been given real-world equivalents, but somehow naggaroth is only "geographically" equivalent to North America.

Disturbing, isn't it, that what passes for the british intelligentsia sees your average American as a sex-obsessed, bloodthirsty monster who survives by plundering other cultures?

If nobody debates me on this, I may have to edit the article to make the similarities a bit more explicit.

I think you're getting confused between "geographically" and "culturally" -- the article simply implies that in terms of weather,

geography, climate, etc., Naggaroth is similar to the the Alaskan/Canadian/North West US area, in that its extremely cold. The article

doesn't imply Americans are Dark Elves -- by the same logic, the Lizardmen aren't like South Americans, but simply inhabit a simliar

climate.

- If it wasn't the Druchii you could pick a fight about any Warhammer race occupying the North America region if you really wanted to. Or you could note that Games Workshop chooses to portray the Warhammer equivalent of its home country (Albion) as a backward monster infested wasteland.

On Dark Elf Relgion[edit]

I've edited this page to clear up some mistakes. Namely its references to Morathi as the new leader of the Cult of Pleasure (she was the founder and was always the leader).

I have also given more accurate detail to the account of the Cult of pleasure - naming one of the tribes that Morathi recruited in the Chaos wastes; but also generally giving the paragraph's language more precision.

I deleted the line: The High Priestess of the Temple of Khaine, the Hag Queen Hellebron, would certainly like nothing more. I can't find a reference for it anywhere in either the Storm of Chaos book or the Dark Elves book. However if anyone else can cite it please put it back in.

Having done this I would propose that the whole section needs a more drastic revision: a) to spell out the roles of the Devotees of Khaine (i.e. Blood Night) and their enmity towards the Convents of the Sorceress. b) to address the Cult of Pleasure properly (someone with access to the High Elves Books as well as the Dark elves and Storm of Chaos Books would be ideal for this) c) and finally to note the pre-civil war (or pre-Storm of Chaos) role of the Sorceresses, i.e. their magical training: Shadow, Death and Dark Magic (which is the Dark Elves' favoured magic) and the prophecy of Malekith's death.

On more general note the citation in this article needs work.

Malekeith Rightful heir?[edit]

This is the Dark Elves view; Malekith feels that he is the rightful heir.

- Technically Malekith IS the rightful heir to Aenarion's throne as he is his oldest (living) son. Since Aenarion was the first Phoenix King there was no precedent of Phoenix Kings dying so it was assumed by most that the position would pass from father to son, much like the position of Everqueen passes from mother to daughter. However, the ruling Coucil of Princes wanted a less hot-headed leader now the war against Chaos was over. A king who would rebuild and allow the High Elves to live in a era of peace instead of a king who would seize the advantage of winning the war by going on a camapaign of expansion. So the Council decided to pass over Malekith.
  
  Tyrion and Teclis can track their lineage back to Aenarion because Aenarion had two children with Astarielle, the first Everqueen: a boy named Morelion, who sailed to the east and was never heard of again, and a girl named Yvraine, who became Everqueen after Astarielle's death. It's through Yvraine's children that Tyrion and Teclis are related to Aenarion. So Malekith is sort of their evil uncle.

If there's one thing that I would disagree with the High Elves on, it's that Malekith's "mind was destroyed beyond repair and Malekith was completely lost to insanity." Anyone know what this is about?[edit]

"On several occasions the Dark Elves joined forces with the fleets of the Undead Tomb King Settra to raid the Human kingdoms of Tilea for slaves. The Human realms of the Empire and Bretonnia are favored targets for slave raids as well.

The only race that the Dark Elves have any respect for is the Skaven due to their similar nature. The Dark Elves are often betrayed by the followers of The Horned Rat and the ratmen are similarly betrayed by the Druchi. The Skaven are one of the few races that has a treaty with the Dark Elves (which the Dark Elves actually honour)."

Can anyone cite this? I can't find anything mentioning it, so if no one can confirm it, I'll delete it in a little while.
