Untitled[edit]

Hello, I'm quite new at this, but having lots of fun. I'm making a page about psychic David Marius Guardino. I have a collection of his writings, most of which were destroyed in 2001 when The Globe/The Sun building was attacked by anthrax. If anyone had contact with Mr. Guardino I'd like to hear from them! Also, some beginner's advice would be nice! barbg 02:09, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

A much improved attempt[edit]

Thanks so much for your help. This is my second attempt and I think it's much improved. All I need to know now is how to upload a photo that is my own. Also, why is the "Contents" at the top? How do I get it to the left side of the page? barbg 20:14, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

I just figured something out and I don't know how to change it. My Wiki page is titled User:Diopolis. It's supposed to be called "David Marius Guardino". I've been wondering why the name doesn't come up on the search! Someone help an old lady, huh?

How do I get rid of the photo in question?[edit]

I'm sorry you did not like the photo of David. I'd like to take it down but can't figure out how to go about it. Please, someone, take it down so I can upload another one! The photo is indeed of David Guardino the psychic. This photo is real, and I have a copy of it, along with the original tabloid article. But I'd rather have NO PHOTO than to have the entire article nixed.

My brother was a con artist who died in prison for income tax evasion. He injured a lot of people over his 35-year career, and his extended family wants to set the record straight. I attempted in my article to be as objective as possible, since many people still believe in him and would defend him to the end.

Non-free rationale for File:Publicity mug.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Publicity mug.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
