For petes sake!! Can we please try to discourage Lisa Oldfield from modifying this page. Her fanciful writings are self promoting, factually incorrect and not encyclopaedic!!

Crap removal[edit]

I haven't read PH's autobiography, but the article we were using as a source for a sexual relationship didn't quite go that far. PH is quoted as saying they spent the night together, but the context is of talking rather than anything else. I wouldn't rule it out, but a better source is needed.

He didn't say he was a National Socialist. I remember listening to that interview, and he was very careful with his words. He explicitly denied that he was a National Socialist, meaning Nazi, so it is quite wrong for the article to imply the reverse. In any case, the source for this seems to be rubbish.

There were any number of articles written about DO by serious journalists in reputable newspapers, so how come our biographical article is such tripe? --Pete (talk) 18:44, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Racism on air[edit]

On his radio show "Overnight with David Oldfield" on Nov 6th 2008 he said a lot about Obama being elected. His comments and those of the other people speaking have been blatantly racist.

One Nation[edit]

I have changed several uses of the unfamiliar term PHONP to read One Nation or Pauline Hanson's One Nation as appropriate. "PHONP" doesn't meet WP:COMMONNAME and seems to have been introduced without consensus by a now inactive editor. --Pete (talk) 05:32, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Given it wasn't known by either name at the time David Oldfield was involved, I am not sure why either name should hold. It would be like change all the references to the Country Party to the National Party. Olivertownshend (talk) 01:50, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
