Text commented out[edit]

Much of this article appears to be commented out by the use of html comment markup. Is this a mistake, or should most of it be hidden? Bob1960evens (talk) 09:55, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion[edit]

Why not make a larger "Coloration of prehistoric animals" article and incorporate the information in this article there? Dinosaur colors are relatively new to being figured out, but studies on the color of prehistoric animals go back much further and there are examples of prehistoric mammals, arthropods and non-dinosaurian reptiles whose colors are known. Suggestion[edit]

I tried to add a link to my web page on dinosaur coloration (https://dinocolour.blogs.bristol.ac.uk/), but was reprimanded by a Wikipedia Editor for self-promotion, and the link was not allowed. This page, however, represents some key discoveries in the field, and rated (Smithsonian, January 2020) as one of the top-ten scientific discoveries of the decade. So, it's up to an independent dino person to check my web site and decide whether it is helpful to Wikipedia readers or not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glmjb (talkcontribs) 16:20, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If it's one of the top-ten scientific discoveries of the decade, surely it's been published somewhere other than your blog. Cite to that. But don't spam your blog across the encyclopedia, as you did here: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], and [8]. TJRC (talk) 17:39, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
