Disabling DDC/CI is not relevant

Is that section really needed in an article about displays standards? Instructions on how to fix problems with computers should not be part of an encyclopaedia. In my opinion, it should be either removed or rewritten to something like DDC/CI Operating System support, explaining problems that may appear if the standard is not supported by a monitor. DDC Address and octet read

On the I2C bus, the first byte of a transaction consists of the 7 address bits, transmitted MSB first, followed by the read/write bit (R=1, W=0). So the byte is made up by (addr << 1) + 1, or 2*addr+1, which is 2*0x50+1 in this case, resulting in 0xA1.

However, I agree this sentence should be removed. The information is completely irrelevant.

DDC2B unidirectional?

"DDC2B is unidirectional and allows only one bus master - the graphics adapter." How is that possible? If it truly was unidirectional and the graphics adapter is the bus master, how is the EDID getting from the display to the graphics adapter? Am I misunderstanding bidirectionality in this context?
