Shouldn't this article be split into two? Now that the Donaldson's school has relocated to Linlithgow, shouldn't the beautiful former Donaldson's school building in Edinburgh get an article on its own? SylviaStanley (talk) 11:10, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that there should be an article named "Donaldson's Hospital Building" or "Donaldson's College Building" which describes the A-listed building at 1b West Coates, Edinburgh. And there should be a second article named "Donaldson's School for the Deaf" which describes the school which used to be in Donaldson's College building. Edinburgh but is now (2015) located at Preston Road, Linlithgow. Has anybody got any comments or other suggestions? SylviaStanley (talk) 12:24, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On second thoughts, on re-reading this article, in fact the title (Donaldson's School) and the initial lead paragraph are just about the school. The building at West Coates, Edinburgh should be incidental to the article. But when I first read this article the building was described extensively in the main section, so that I wasn't sure whether the article was about the school or the building. I propose instead making a separate section in this article to describe Playfair's building and put most of of the description of the building there. From construction activity at the site, it seems the majority of work was completed by late 2007 in line with the statement in the article that the building was occupied in early 2008.
