Information Removal[edit]

All instances relating the Druaga Legend to Dungeons and Dragons or The Tower of Druaga have been removed. Please keep such ideas within the confines of the "In Popular Media" section. If anyone has a link to a reputable source with information that can verify the actual legend, then please by all means include it in the references section. 64.179.37.3 (talk) 21:07, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Commentation[edit]

I don't get it. Summon x devils? That sounds very D&D-ish. Is there a distinction between what is just the information about the Babylonian deity, and what is other? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.152.254.134 (talk) 04:11, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a Babylonian/Sumerian legend, which unfortunately has been corrupted by the fact that a video game was made of the basic legend. Someone is really needed to find the actual legend, and put the actual legend down on paper. Because, right now all we have is some fanboy's account of the characteristics of Druaga, rather than the myth itself. I know from the basic thing that there's a Blue Crystal Rod involved here (the video game itself, combined with any anime related mentions this) but because nobody bothered with research, I dunno how it factors in. Please keep this active so cleanup and improvements can be done, but someone needs to make the switch from video game, to actual legend. Bulmabriefs144 (talk) 15:09, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citations Needed[edit]

This article gives no citations for the existence of a Sumerian or Babylonian deity of the name Druaga. The only source I can find for that is the inclusion of Druaga in a list of Babylonian deities in a D&D book, not known for their scholarly accuracy! Babylonian deity[edit]

Druaga does not seem to have been an actual Babylonian deity. He seems to have been added to the Babylonian pantheon by the AD&D book Deities and Demigods in 1980, which appears to have inspired the character found in the Tower of Druaga video game series.
