Clarify, please[edit]

'He is perhaps best known as the presenter of the UK's version of This Is Your Life, between its inception in 1955 and his death in 1987...'

But then: 'Eamonn became the very first This Is Your Life subject on British television when he was surprised by the show’s creator, Ralph Edwards.'

If he was the original presenter, I don't see how he could also have also been the original subject. Valetude (talk) 15:03, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Wikipedia article on This Is Your Life, Ralph Edwards, who invented the US version in 1948, presented the first British show, with Andrews as his victim, but thereafter Andrews was the presenter. NRPanikker (talk) 20:02, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Accent mark[edit]

I was just watching an episode of What's My Line on which Mr. Andrews was a challenger, and he put an accent mark on the first letter of his name when he signed in (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCDlLUfh1YU beginning at about 3:52). Should that be included on his name here? I don't know enough about the conventions of the Irish language (or about Mr. Andrews, for that matter) to be confident in adding it myself, but I'm hoping someone else will. Thanks! -- edi(talk) 13:56, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
