Sources and references[edit]

Came across this article, thought I'd improve it, but the online references I find are all contradicting each other on even the basics the riot (who was it, why, where?) and legal action (over what, started by whom, who won which points?). Shall investigate books. In the meantime, for someone who fancies trying to reconcile different versions:

And apparently the latest edition of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography will have details about them, according to a page about the dictionary.
