the original text which i had submitted was based on one or both of the following. not having either of those texts with me at the moment i'm unable to check. if anyone has easy access to these, the citation can be written. if it IS hagiography then it's the author of the source's, not my own. forgive my initial omission of sources from two and a half years ago.

Clean Up, POV and Preaching in-text[edit]

1. It is not immediately clear if the accounts described here are supposed to be academically accepted historical accounts or if they are traditional accounts without a strong historical basis.

2. Furthermore, it is not said who celebrates this "holiday". One is given the impression that it is a universal Islamic celebration, which it is not, even if the accounts that apparently form its basis are considered sound across the board. Is this a Shi'a holiday? Do all Shi'a celebrate it? That needs to be mentioned in the first line.

3. The last line of the brief introductory paragraph says "Eid al-Mubahila [...] is a sound primer for the faithful in Islamic techniques of argument" which I think should be removed. It reads like a sermon and not an historical account. It could be replaced by referring to that statement as the opinion of a prominent Muslim scholar or a Muslim leader. On that note furthermore, I think the whole text needs to be carefully read to make sure this article is encyclopedic. I will flag the article for cleanup, attention, for someone that is more familiar with this "holiday."
