The article erroneously states that Emil Petrovici was of Serbian descent. He most definitely was not. I was born in the same house. My great-grandfather bought the house from Emil's father who was, from what I remember, a Romanian Orthodox priest. The last name might lead you to the wrong conclusion that he was of Serbian descent. There are, however, a number of families in Torac that have the same last name, some related to Emil's family, others not. They are all Romanians. Vichentie Petrovici, a journalist and published poet would be one example. Todor Petrovici, violin player with the orchestra of RTV Novi Sad, teacher and conductor, would be another and I believe he might be related to Emil's family.

At the time Emil was born Torac had an almost 100% Romanian population with two Romanian Orthodox churches, one in Toracul Mic, and another in Toracul Mare. Both of them are still serving the citizens of Romanian descent.
