Talk about use and linking of "endangered"[edit]

The term "endangered breed" is used through the conservation breeders community, as evidenced by the multiple sources used to source this article. While at the moment, the word "endangered" redirects to the endangered species article, and clearly a breed is not a species, the word "endangered" can have more meanings - endangered breed, endangered health, endangered habitat, yada, yada, yada. Thus, the solution is not to remove the word "endangered," but perhaps instead to fix the dab and the redirect so they are more appropriate to the word used. Having now taken this issue to talk, I invite the other editor to discuss, without insults and to AGF. Montanabw(talk) 15:01, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • They are wrong, incorrect and lazy. You shouldn't be like them. Further reversals of my edits will be taken as vandalism. Abductive (reasoning) 15:55, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do not threaten me, I have done a compromise edit that incorporates both phrases. You will do far better to provide reasoned arguments. The term "endangered breed" is used extensively, and no one is arguing that a breed is a species. Other than the redirect going to the endangered species article, I see no logic for your (redundant) "wrong, incorrect" and "lazy." See, e.g. these: [1], (mission statement) and and a formal definition from the European Environment Agency So, I question your "incorrect" assertion. Please provide better reasoning for your actions other than WP:IDONTLIKEIT. Montanabw(talk) 21:44, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
