What's the family name, and what is the correct position?[edit]

In the Chinese-speaking WP, Fang Liu is Liu Fang, according to Google Translator. In the official documents she is called Dr. Liu. So the surname is Liu. It is called, as usual in Chinese, in the first place. Greetings from Fritzober (talk) 23:39, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

True, but most prominent Chinese figures in the English-speaking world are referred to by their native Chinese surname-first order (e.g., Mao Zedong, Xi Jinping, Chiang Kai-shek, Ai Weiwei. On this basis, this article should be renamed Liu Fang. Pennbrook (talk) 07:08, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In her capacity as ICAO Secretary General, she signs her name Fang Liu. Presumably this is to avoid confusion.
Therefore, the article title should be Fang Liu as per WP:COMMONNAME. cagliost (talk) 17:17, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
