Problems with First Steps (1947 film) information[edit]

I've done some recent work on this film article and after screening the film numerous times, I've found some problems with the information that was originally in the article. First of all, it appears to be a United Nations Film Board work, and was shot AFAIK, entirely in the United States at a summer camp in New York State, not India. The doctor in charge of medical care was likely from India but that is the only connection I can make to India. Please check over the article to see if I am right. Hi. It's best if we discuss this here in a central location. Yes there does seem to be some kind of mix up. The NFB Collections page lists three awards 30 years after the release of this 1947 film -- and doesn't mention the most important award that the 1947 film won, the Oscar! Is it possible these are two different films with the same title. Or perhaps there was some kind of rerelease. But the strangeness around awards coupled with the differences in subject matter are confusing. Is IMDb any help? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:38, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Still, I think you're right and the NFB archival description doesn't match the film's contents, from what I can see. This is an obscure film and there's a chance the NFB's catalogue description is just wrong. I tend to shy away from older less-known titles like this, personally. Great. In the meantime, should we remove IMDb from the External links if we both agree the info is flat-out wrong? I mean the NFB info is wrong, too, but this more problematically wrong, in that it has the wrong key creative credits from what we see in the film...?
