Plot[edit]

The plot summary is incomplete. Toward the end of the movie, the protagonist and the woman leave, after she tells him she does not want to be a part of his revenge against her husband. They drive off, stopping at a sort of motel the first night. Meanwhile, the husband, who had hired the protagonist to in effect be a sort of fixer, arranging a plea bargain in which the husband gets a reduced sentence but also demanding 2/3 of the husbands illicit money but then also saying he wanted the wife, uses fingerprints from a glass out of which the protagonist had drunk water to identify him as the cabana boy with whom his wife had admitted having had an affair in the couple's first year of marriage. The husband shows up at the rustic motel while the wife is out shopping for groceries. He confronts the protagonist and shoots him. The husband walks out the door. At about this time, the wife returns. Seeing her husband, she tries to run inside to see her lover. The husband says it is too late. He grabs her and holds his pistol to her temple, demanding that she say one more time that she loves him. She struggles futilely. Suddenly, the lover grabs the husband from behind, and the two struggle. As they struggle, the wife picks up the gun. The lover, despite having only one good arm, manages to best the husband, slamming the latter's head against the stone? step. But the two shots he had taken, take their toll on him. In the next scene, the wife is coaxing him to live while an EMT works to save him,as the ambulance they are inrushes down the highway. As the movie ends, the protagonist opens his eyes in a vacuous stare. Cut to black. Kdammers (talk) 14:47, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
