Current Station opened 1960 not 1961[edit]

Original article text said:

Freeport Station was originally built on October 28, 1867, and is among many of the stations along the Babylon Branch that were elevated throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk Counties during the 1960s, in this case 1961.

These two sources give October 8th, 1960 as the opening day.

Well, the same source also claimed it was "Early 1961" in another section. ----DanTD (talk) 00:55, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps the "Erectors Union strike" of 1960 delaying the escalator made people consider the station "not fully open" until early 1961? See "Escalator issues" following... ----Lent (talk) 20:46, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Escalator Pranksters Will Be Punished Now

September 21, 1961, p. 16, cols 2-3.
Turning off the escalator at Freeport's railroad station won't continue to be a secret prank of children or misguided adults [...] A burgiar alarm is being installed on the escalator to ring loudly whenever anyone pushes the "Stop" button. Elevated Railroad Station

The Caption "Color slide of the ceremony for the opening of the elevated railroad station at Freeport." doesn't match with the catalog date. Probably the date is wrong.
