This article or section is written like an advertisement[edit]

The page has been marked as an advert. I do agree with that editor we should avoid advertisements by all means. I know this page has been written by end users. I think they have at best tried to make an objective description to make it comparable with e.g. Media Centre and MythTV. The only possibly non-objective statements I can see are in the adjectives like easy. More explicit referrals to what the editor sees as advertising statements would be helpful.

Well, this change turned a stub article into something that looks perfectly like a “Features” page on a program's website. Well, some of the added content seems to have been taken from GB-PVR's page.
This one has made it better, but the article still contains “fully featured”, “large user base” (without any numbers), “you” and "your" (Not sure, but I think those words don't have place in such an article. At least not all over it.)…
Also, anonymous IPs have removed the Advert template twice.

This article is defunct since 2009 while it's successor NextPVR has a release in 2018... perhaps competitors are sabotaging updates... I haven't used a PVR in years and have never used either GB-PVR or NextPVR, also haven't had cable for 4 or 5 years. So, wiki should update the name and update the release... I'm not sure how to update photos without violations Tymes (talk) 05:03, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
