"Due to the pact with death it is unknown if the Gardener was truly killed or merely incapacitated. He has been seen alive since." The "pact with death" is not mentioned anywhere else in the article. Also, should this be "he has not been seen alive since?" Lupusrex 04:23, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Official Handbook To The Marvel Universe[edit]

Did someone just type in the Gardener's entry word for word from 'The Official Handbook To The Marvel Universe'?

Why I Baleeted And Pact With Death[edit]

1 - I just deleted a chunk out of this article. Why? First off, it was entirely redundant information, well, a majority of it, just pushed in under an otherwise fine article. Secondly, I'm 99 percent sure this was copied word for word from the comic book series called 'Official Handbook To The Marvel Universe'. (Think Wikipedia before the Internet). And copying word for word is, of course, against the rules. The one percent of doubt exists because I don't actually own the Handbook issue the Gardener appears in but by gum, the part I deleted certainly fits the format and the wording and the phrasing (I've read many, many other Handbook articles, I am a big hopeless comic book geek).

2 - In response to the 'pact with death', in the Marvel comics universe, Death has taken physical forms many times and beings with sufficent powers or cleverness can thwart her/him. The pact is explained on other pages belong to other 'Elders Of The Universe'. I hope this helps. Somehow. I'll go see what type of entry Death (comics) has.
