Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Godflesh (EP). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Infobox[edit]

  • You need to mention the band members as producers elsewhere besides the infobox, with a source.
    • This is sourced under the personnel section. If you want me to add a line to the prose about them producing it, I can do that, too. CelestialWeevil (talk) 20:47, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I would like too. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:36, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lead[edit]

  • the eponymous EP made it onto the UK Indie Chart. → peak?
  • Could add something from the Background and Composition sections.
    • There are a couple of details from these sections (the source of the EP's title, the description of the music / its novelty). I'd happily add more; I just can't think of anything right now. If this is necessary, I'll come up with something. CelestialWeevil (talk) 20:47, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Do it, it will give the article more information just on the lead. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:36, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, it's done. CelestialWeevil (talk) 16:55, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Background[edit]

  • Fine

Composition[edit]

  • Green's pummeling bass.[8][11][12][13] → no more than 3 sources in a row, spread them by separating with each sentence accordingly, I would do it but I don't have said books.
  • (either screamed or wailed) are sparse.[17][11] → switch the order of the references

Release[edit]

  • Isn't the release date October 9, 1989?
    • I wish we knew! There are, as far as I can see, no good references on when the EP was released; all we know is some time after July 1988 and before 1989. A couple of these sources give a month earlier than July, but that's probably wrong since the liner notes say it was finished being recorded in July. Oh well. CelestialWeevil (talk) 20:47, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Oh I see why you thought it was October 9, 1989. That reference is for their debut album, Streetcleaner. I was referencing the part where they said 'last year' in description of the EP. CelestialWeevil (talk) 20:50, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
My bad then. Thank you MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:39, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Digby Pearson of Earache Records took notice.[24][25] Because Swordfish could not fulfill international demand, Earache acquired Godflesh and promised the group wider circulation → Digby Pearson of Earache Records took notice, and since Swordfish could not fulfill international demand, Earache acquired Godflesh and promised the group wider circulation.[24][25]

Critical reception and legacy[edit]

  • In 1988, Simon Turner → The first, in 1988, Simon Turner

Track listing[edit]

  • Songwriters. If there only one or two put it above the track list saying "All tracks written by X and Y, except where noted.", add different songwriters if there are only 2/3 songs with different ones, otherwise remove the latter sentence.
  • Source for both editions?
Missing the standard edition. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:37, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops, sorry. Done now. CelestialWeevil (talk) 16:55, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
