Prominence of Granite Peak[edit]

I am wondering why somebody would list the prominence of Granite as 8,881 ft. I'd like to know what definition of prominence they are using. The actual value is 4781ft (1457m). Please see www.peaklist.org/USlists/MTP2000.html. 128.173.37.25 01:23, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
