Rename Haicheng, Liaoning to Haicheng.[edit]

Haicheng, Liaoning is by far the primary topic WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Of the six contenders on the disambiguation page, only three have articles. Four are only minor townships in China. What links here gives 165 links for Haicheng, Liaoning. The aricle Haicheng, Ningxia has just 3 links and the article Haicheng District has 135. When searching on Google or Bing, they default to Haicheng, Liaoning. A bing search for Haicheng Beihai (Haicheng District) give 51,000 hits where as Haicheng, Liaoning gets 72,100 hits. Google books predominatly talks about Haicheng, Liaoning not the others. Historically Haicheng in Liaoning was a important city. Until just 50 years ago it was a prefecture level city, not county level. Significant historical events have happened there including the famous Haicheng earthquake and several notable people come from there. The other candidates for this name cannot claim that same. Lack of information[edit]

After, what, 20 years of Wikipedia's existence, this article is pretty pathetic, providing virtually no meaningful information about this place with a population of over 1 million. Please expand. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 09:43, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
