I need more time (may be a week) to translate this article from french to english ! thanks a lot.

I have read the article on the French Wikipedia ([1]). The majority of the article is about him studying music at university and winning a grant to do a doctorate. The closest the subject gets to passing WP:MUSICBIO is that he had a single song included in a compilation published by EMI. The criteria at WP:MUSICBIO asks that the subject has released two or more albums on a major label; not a single song on a compilation. Besided that the subject has made some performances at university music nights. Also, if you need to translate the article then please do so on your own user space. Thanks so much for your collaboration. I'm really impressed by this quick translation. I'll just put other wikipedia links or enhance the article's quality. I read the WP:MUSICBIO chart and the second point (Has had a single or album on any country's national music) should be sufficient as one of MUSICBIO critera to keep the article on wikipedia, isn't it ? Thanks :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Engdus (talkcontribs) 18:01, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're quite welcome: Google Translate definitely sped the translation up for me, as I'm not a native French speaker.
You say that Makhlouf's had a single or album in the charts? I hadn't found that yet, but if it's true can you please supply some WP:Reliable sources showing it? He was a musician on an album that won an award, so that might go some way to establishing notability.
How about point 6? Are the ensembles that he's been in considered famous or notable in Tunisia or France?
How about point 7? Oud music isn't really my area: is he widely regarded as a leader in that? Can you WP:VERIFY that with any WP:Reliable sources
Point 10 applies - musician for the film Coco and inclusion in the EMI compilation. Thanks, Gurt Posh (talk) 18:21, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, The 11th track of the first disc untitled "pages nocturnes" is his produced single on Arabia nights compilation. You can see more details here. He is on the beginning of his artistic and scientific career but things and events he has done are important and interesting between France and Tunisia. I'll improve the article as mutually as possible ! Thanks for your Help :-) —Preceding undated comment added by Engdus 18:58, 20 June 2011 (UTC).[reply]

The reference for the single is clear, but I can find no evidence (in English) that it ever charted. Gurt Posh (talk) 07:57, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
