Contradictory references[edit]

The Gutzkow reference[1] to the life of Behr that has no primary references. Much of it contradicts the Legge[2] and Kraehenbuehl[3] references. For example, it claims that Behr collected and observed in the Cape of Good Hope but there is no other evidence that he did so. Kraehenbuehl provides a reference ("S. African Dept National Education, Govt Archives, Ref.C.C.49,p.141" not accessed) that Behr was only in Cape Town for a single day en route from Adelaide to Amsterdam.

The original article here used the French Wikipedia as a source, but the French article was itself translated from the English Wikipedia with mostly unsourced material. Gderrin (talk) 21:17, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
