The "old man" had a map with push-pins too. ^ I interpreted "8" a bit differently -- that perhaps Hawkins and Sarah and the other 6 were "good guys", who were moles inside the larger organization of "bad guys", and now Hawkins finds out that half the other moles are dead, plus the "leader" of their group-within-a-group ("The Old Man"). And Sarah was a turncoat, ending up working with the "bad guys" to take down Hawkins and the final 2 surviving moles. That's my complex theory. ^_^ 199.214.28.246 20:52, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

- A screencap of that map would be nice, if someone has one. Be careful with the speculation though, there are still a lot of unknowns. We learned that there were 8 people in Hawkins's group, but we don't know that they were the bombers. At this point it's entirely possible that the bombers represent a different group, and Hawkins's people were infiltrating them, or whatever. Did anyone catch the make of that black truck that knocked Jake and Co. off the road? Looks too modern, yet is some how survived the EMP?!?!?! Also, where did Hawkins get a car to travel to see the "old man"? The Attacker's Truck[edit]
The truck is a 1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado. That is either one lucky truck (shielded by something during the EMP) or a continuity error. That model has tons of unshielded wiring and electronic modules that would be fried by an EMP. Cntrlwiz 00:03, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
If the truck were parked in a solid cement parking garage or had it's battery disconnected while it was in a garage being serviced it may not have been completely destroyed by the EMP. EMP requires something to pick-up the energy (copper wires for example) to create a current which fries the electronics. My guess is any modern car that didn't have the battery attached at the time wouldn't be able to complete any circuits for the EMP to cause damage via. Any modern cars we see in the show we should assume were spared for some 'fortunate' reason.--Jwsmiths 22:57, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
