Image copyright problem with File:SanJoseEarthquakesTwoStars.jpg[edit]

The image File:SanJoseEarthquakesTwoStars.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Sourcing[edit]

Unfortunately the two "official" pages for the Heritage Cup on the Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation website do not meet Wikipedia's reliable source guideline as they are self-published sources. It is for this reason that I've tagged this article with the unreferenced tag. Before you remove the template again, please make sure that you find a source that meets the reliable source guideline. --Bobblehead (rants) 09:50, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Still in existence?[edit]

Is this trophy still being contested for in light of Portland and Vancouver declining to participate? --Blackbox77 (talk) 15:53, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pre-MLS records[edit]

Does the pre-MLS record tables really need to be here? While the cup is based on NASL lineage, NASL play is not involved in the cup, nor its history, as the cup has only ever been contested in MLS; it did not exist in those prior leagues. Also, this is not specifically a rivalry page, it just so happens to currently be a two-team contest due to eligibility and participation. Unless there's reason to keep it I plan to WP:BOLD and remove it. - Keith D. Tyler 07:13, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
